It's wide open, but because of distance to the subject it has quite good DOF for capturing a whole scene.   Bit of dodge at area around and interior of cart.

When I look through the view finder with this lens, the first WOW factor is how things getting closer to me.   It's very small lens and i was just not prepared for the power of magnification .  It's a pocket-able 200mm (equiv. FOV) and not bad rendering of OOF area either.   I think I got a great deal of this lens.  It fits nicely in between 50mm and 2000mm I already have.

WB is shade.

Took it in -1EV at the time to preserve highlight but ended up bring it back about 1EV.

Cropped to 2:3 format and some contrast adjustment done.



It's just about going down and completely behind the mountain range.  I was trying to capture clean edge of sun as well as intense colour around it.

Got a new lens ( 2nd hand swapped with 25mm I had doubled with Olympus version).
Got to test and went to the beach on the way back to home form work.

I think it's a good result.

I have 46mm filter + 46-52mm step ring and 2 blank UV (no glass but only ring) stacked as lens hood.

I took a new toy to sunny Nelson CBD.  Set the lssn to wide open all the time where I normally set to F5.6 or F8, just to see.  Actually I was looking for different type subject but found new shop was opened.  So here it is.

Compare to Panasonic 25mm F1.7.  This one is tad wide other than that, it is very close for image quality. It's comes to personal preference of FOV and design of product.   I'm most likely keep this for OM-D.

Ahhh...  Feeling of new camera with Lumix 25mm.    It's wide open but shroud have shot with F2.8 or even F4.0 for subject matter, but i like rendering of OOF area.

This vars is a special one off version made by local artist Royce McGlashen.
We love this piece very much there was few more fantastic piece in his work shop / gallery at time we visit him.
