Rainbow Road, New Zealand
F4, 1/1000 | F4, 1/1250
Two images are stitched with PhotoMearge. This is steep down hill (from Nelson to Hammer route). Can you see how the winding road goes in distance?
Yes, it's a quite long gravel road with number of narrow one-way bridge and stream crossing (that's way you need good clearance under the car, but not really require tough 4WD). I think its about 110KM in total. Lots of fun and grate scenery and l We had little picnic in midway.
Reminds me of the road to the Racetrack in Death Valley. I was just there. But a shorter, although similarly rough trip, apparently. Check it out. Where exactly in NZ is that?
It lays between Rainbow Ski Field (Top of South Island) to the Hanmer Spring Resort. Very nice trip but this particuler route is closed in winter season.
That looks like a long drive on unpaved road. I liked the photo enlarged. The roughness really is accentuated.
