  1. Your new camera is making you look at different things, B! Previously only I would have taken this kind of close-up shots, and you would have just grunted!! I love it.

  2. Out of your recent leaves shots, I like this one the best because IMHO it is the most creative. Seeing and making use of the shadow pattern falling across the leaves is where the added artistry imbues your image with another dimension of interest. The warm autumn (fall) colors are very nice and the tones are rich. Nicely composed.

  5. You managed to gather quite a collection of autumn photographs in the last couple of days Ben, Beautiful colours, light, shadows and mood... I enjoyed them tremendously. It may be is the camera as Meg says... but I rather attribute it to the mood of this special season.

    Cheers!

  6. I do like the contrast between the light and shadows. It makes many pictures much more interesting just by waiting until the light falls just so. Nice one.

  7. Thank you!
My new camera helps in some way. One significant aspect is motivation. The day I took this shot, I had attached my Micro-Nikkor a day, and try to find some close up opportunity. Using different lens alone gives me a fresh motivation.
And of course, the most motivation comes from this special season with full of colours.

This is gorgeous in it's simplicity and cut. The light impact is a tremendous focal POI and creates an area for observation and thought.

  9. Sometimes I miss not having my old Nikons with all those great lenses along. But then, I would barely ever get to take pictures. I live off my little pocket camera.
This is a beautiful variety of fall leaves. I love fall.

  10. Thanks Merisi.
You should take your Nikon once a while. A day, you just concentrate for taking photos. It is a great fun.
