6:00pm, 4/4/2007, I was just playing with new toy and look up the outside only to find this dramatic cloud. I was middle of changing something but just set to Program Auto and snap this. Crank up sharpness and noise reduction a bit but practically straight out from camera.
Pretty good colour range and exposure for a "shot from the hip" The clouds are really dramatic indeed. More megapixels pay of for sure! did you shut it in RAW?
I somehow, always get a better result processing RAW image with Nikon View than with Photoshop.
Lots of interest in those clouds! Skies are wonderful photo subjects. The landscape below looks good too. A big sky with a bit of scenery underneath is a good combination.
Beautiful. I love it when the clouds are layered at different altitudes and different types and different colors and shades. Then the backlighting by the sun here perfects it.
