Taken on 6/May/2012 

A 500mm mirror lens + 2x converter on m43 camera.  It is 2000mm equivalent for 35mm full format.  No crop, straight out of camera (via LR4) with little contract enhance.  It is a colour image.

Note to myself: It could be better using high ISO setting of the GX1 and allow to use fast shutter. I'm still not getting used to this camera as I was almost always set to base ISO with D200 on tripod.  The GX1 is more capable of high ISO than D200.

My RED filter on the open book.  I put white copy paper on the page and use a single flash from behind the filter.  
The pop up flash on commander mode and wireless slave on TTL to avid chance of my SC-17 TTL code getting in the way or cast shadow.
Camera was on tripod and few shots in different flash angle to get one cast the good shape of hart with black flame around.

Slow telephoto at evening... getting bit dark for taking sharp image. I decided to limit ISO instead of setting too high but wide open so hoping some slow but decent shutter speed of 1/8 to 1/30 range. It captured movement of wing very well.

I found this cicada shell in garden.  Instead of using macro lens, I grabbed this mirror lens.  it was surprisingly well balanced.    I used tripod because it was bit windy for this kind of shot to do with handhold especially with 1000mm/F8 equivalent to 35mm full flame.
 

GX1 + $20 mount adapter + Tamron SP 500mm (reflex) 

[PS: 8/Feb]: Oh and forgot to say that I was shooting about 2m (or less) away from the subject.
